01Who can use InsideMode

You must be 18 or older. One account per person, with an e-mail address you control.

You're responsible for what happens under your account.

02What InsideMode does

InsideMode looks for public web pages that show a face similar to the one in your photo, or public profiles that use a username you enter.

Results are algorithmic similarities, not identifications. False matches happen. A match is never proof of who someone is: use it as a clue, then check for yourself.

03Allowed uses

• Checking a person you're already in contact with (for example a dating match), to protect yourself from scams and fake profiles.
• Finding where your own photos appear online.

04Never allowed

• Stalking, harassing, threatening or doxxing anyone.
• Revealing someone's sexual orientation, health, religion, politics or sex work.
• Identifying a minor, or searching for anyone under 18.
• Identifying a stranger photographed without their knowledge.
• Deciding on employment, housing, credit, insurance or any other eligibility. InsideMode is not a consumer reporting agency and its reports are not consumer reports.
• Reselling, publishing or sharing results.
• Automated or bulk searching.

05Your photos

You confirm you have the right to use each photo you upload. You tick the fair-use pledge before each search, and we record when you did.

You're responsible for how you use the results.

06Packs, credits and payment

One search uses one credit. Prices are shown before you pay, plus sales tax where it applies. They're in US dollars in the US and in euros in Europe, same amounts.

• Essential: $9.99, 5 searches. Plus: $14.99, 10 searches. Pro: $24.99, 20 searches. 3-search pack: $8.49.
• Each pack is a one-time payment. Nothing renews, and you're only charged again if you buy another pack.
• Purchased searches and invite bonuses never expire.
• Invites: when someone makes their first purchase with your code, you both get a free search (up to 10 a month). If that first payment is refunded, unused invite searches are removed.
• Credits are used in this order: bonus searches, then purchased searches.

07No subscription

There's nothing to cancel: you pay once per pack, with no commitment. Your remaining searches stay in your account until you use them or delete your account.

08Refunds

Your credit comes back automatically when a search fails for a technical reason, or when no face can be found in the photo. A search that finds no match has still been run, so its credit is used.

Otherwise, used credits aren't refundable. If you're in the European Union: by starting a search you ask us to provide it right away, so the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies to searches already run.

09Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, without refund of the credits used for misuse. We cooperate with the authorities when legally required.

10Removal requests

Anyone, with or without an account, can ask us to stop showing a link or report misuse on our removal page. We review every request.

11Liability

InsideMode is provided as is. We don't guarantee that results are complete or accurate. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. You agree to cover us against claims caused by your misuse of the service.

12Disputes and governing law
